What We Do
Research → Education → Advocacy → Civic engagement → Youth Leadership → AAIRE Cares
Research
Data-driven insights that power everything we do
AAIRE conducts rigorous qualitative and quantitative research on Asian American, AAPI, immigrant, and Muslim communities across Long Island and New York City.
Education
Creating inclusivity for all
AAIRE translates research into action through CTLE-accredited professional development for K–12 educators and community forums for the public — reaching educators across New York State with tools to build culturally inclusive classrooms.
Advocacy
We are trusted ambassadors in the community
AAIRE builds lasting community infrastructure through coalitions with over 100 Asian and non-Asian organizations across the region. From grassroots coalition building we work to drive meaningful change in schools, government, and civic life.
Civic Engagement
Empowering our communities
AAIRE conducts culturally responsive, in-language, nonpartisan civic engagement workshops to increase voter education, digital literacy, and informed civic participation among our communities.
Youth Leadership
Inspiring the Next
AAIRE’s youth programming includes two interconnected initiatives. In the Youth Leadership Program, students engage in advocacy, public speaking, storytelling, research, and develop confidence as leaders AAIRE’s Youth Internship Program offers Teen Mental Health First Aid certification in partnership with Northwell Health, and provides interns with hands-on experience in AAIRE’s initiatives.
AAIRE Cares
Providing resources for the community
AAIRE Cares, in partnership with Northwell Health, provides culturally competent mental health and community support services for immigrant and underserved communities. Through a three-pronged approach that includes one-on-one counseling, wellness workshops, and healing circles. AAIRE also assists with culturally competent referrals for community support services.
